XTool PS90 EPB Reset For 2015 BMW X3 F25

Purpose: EPB Reset

Car: BMW X3 F25

Year: 2015

Device: Xtool PS90 Diagnostic Scan Tool 

Procedure:

Step 1: Connect PS90 tablet with the BMW car via Bluetooth

Step 2: Select “Electric Parking Brake”-> “BMW”-> “X Series”-> “X3_F25”-> “Replace the rear brake pads”-> “Retract brake wheel cylinder mode”

Step 3: Follow the on-screen prompts to operate

1.Pull the parking brake button and wait about 3 seconds, press [OK] to continue

2.Push the brake pedal and press the parking brake button for 3 seconds, press[OK] to continue

3.Next whether to release the two wheel cylinders of checking the parking brakes, press [OK] to continue

4.Parking brake released! Next operation will make the parking brake in the position of replacing the brake pads, need about 5 seconds, press [OK] to continue

5.The brake wheel cylinder has retracted to the position of installation. Switch ignition and wait at least 30 seconds. Press [OK] to continue

6.The brake wheel cylinder has retracted, replace rear brake pads! After replacing and putting the brake wheel cylinder back, press [CANCEL] to back to the menu of release brake wheel cylinder mode.

Step 4: Select “Release brake wheel cylinder mode” and follow the prompt to do step by step

1.Switch ignition on, press [OK] to continue

2.The brake wheel cylinder is going to release and reset, press [OK] to continue

3.Push the brake pedal and press the parking brake button for 3 seconds, press[OK] to continue

4.Pull the parking brake button for about 3 seconds, till the parking brake started, press [OK] to continue

5.Push the brake pedal and press the parking brake button for 3 seconds, press[OK] to continue

Now the parking brake has released.

Please kindly notice:

• After renewing the rear brake caliper actuator or brake pad, only repeatedly control parking brake can operate correctly.
• Check whether there is DTC or not “C0805E9-Garage mode activated”, if there is, clear DTC.

Press [Cancel] to back.
